Objective of CCC

The CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) is designed to provide basic computer literacy to the common person. Its main objectives are:

To introduce fundamental computer concepts to beginners
To enable people to use computers for daily tasks (office work, personal use, internet)
To promote digital literacy and e-Governance participation
To help individuals become self-sufficient in using digital tools
To support the Digital India initiative by creating digitally skilled citizens

Description of CCC

The CCC course is a basic-level certification program conducted by National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology. It focuses on practical knowledge rather than theory.

Key Modules of CCC Syllabus

- Introduction to Computer: Basics, components, hardware, and software.
- Introduction to GUI Based Operating System: Windows/Linux basics, user interface, file management.
- Elements of Word Processing (LibreOffice Writer):
  Editing, formatting, tables, and mail merge.
- Spreadsheets (LibreOffice Calc): Formulas, functions, formatting, and charts.
- Computer Communication & Internet: WWW, browsers, search engines, and email.
- WWW and Web Browsers: Internet browsing, downloading, and social networking.
- Communication & Collaboration: Email basics, etiquette, and instant messaging.
- Making Small Presentations (LibreOffice Impress): Creating, editing, and designing presentations.
- Digital Financial Tools: Internet banking, ATM, POS, UPI, AEPS, and KYC.
- Future Skills & Cyber Security: Basics of AI, IoT, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and antivirus/firewalls
